Rebrand and new site on its way…(honest)

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Hello. Just an update that the site and blog will be getting a well overdue makeover very soon as bonnyday is going through a bit of a rebrand. I’ve just had all the new work from the last two years photographed, I have some new sexy business cards printed, and the website is being rebuilt as I speak. There may be some interruptions during the change over, with the old site coming down so try not to panic - it will be back!

It’s been such a busy couple of years, with a lot of new types of work and new clients - I guess it’s about time I tried to show that and some of the nice work I’ve been lucky enough to do.

I’m also going to try and actually get a blog going properly - with actual new things appearing and regular updates. Wouldn’t that be amazing!

Hope you’re all grand.

13th December…

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Running a bit late with this one…but the snow still seems to be hanging around so why not. This was a photograph I created for an online advent calendar for lucky day number 13. This also gives me a chance to mention the wonderful Deborah Casswell (www.deborahcasswell.com) who set up the calendar, and someone whom I’ve enjoyed working with a lot over the years.

New website and work on its way soon…

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Hello. I’ve been terrible at updating this thing, and hence there is virtually none of my most recent work on here right now. I decided that once I started preparing the new stuff to view that the site needs some refreshing, so when the new work appears, the site will have magically turned into something much better…keep checking back, there’s some great new stuff to come…

Tormented Movie

Friday, May 8th, 2009

I recently had the pleasure of working with Franki&Jonny on the new movie Tormented - due out in UK cinemas on the 22nd May.

As well as helping with concepts for the website opening introduction at www.tormentedthemovie.com, I also helped with some ‘interesting’ illustrations for the start and end credits of the film. If you see the movie you will see why I found them ‘interesting’ - a job I couldn’t help but feel born to do. You may also see some examples on the site soon.

Channel your inner 16 year olds over to the great site and check it out - I’m sure you will agree that Franki&Jonny have done an excellent job!

Dan Prince Promo 09

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Recently unleashed on creative directors and the like all over Britain, is the new Dan Prince promotional piece designed by bonnyday. Dan’s work is very conceptual, so this year I tried to use the piece to showcase the way Dan works, and the worlds he creates. The piece looks like a small sketchpad/notebook at first, but then opens out revealing a number of tear off postcards, with original sketches on the reverse. More images will be available on the site soon…

Mr Gammon…

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

bonnyday has recently been asked to design the new web site for the brilliant Costume Designer & Stylist Mr Gammon. You may recognise his highly distinctive work in various adverts and TV for Cadbury, Coca Cola, BBC & John Lewis to name a few, as well as many music videos and his clothes adorned by the likes of Keira Knightley. I’ll will keep you posted on this very interesting brand opportunity…

interarrows

Due to the lack of updates as promised, this site was actually completed quite a while ago. It features great work from my old friend David whom I studied with in Glasgow. His illustration work is very interesting and distinctive plus he’s a great guy - you should check the site and his work out at www.davidpeterkerr.com

My new web site…and blog!

Monday, August 11th, 2008

After a very long time in production my new website has finally arrived. It’s been a while in the making, largely due to being so busy, however the main concept of the site is regular updates and simplicity so from now on expect lots of of new stuff as and when it happens - so keep popping back!

Accompanying the site is also this news blog (which is still in development right now design wise) so you can find out what I’m working on and any other strange thoughts in my head that I just have to get out.

New Frightened Rabbit web site…

Monday, August 11th, 2008

bonnyday is currently creating the brand new music website for Scottish band Frightened Rabbit.

The new site will continue in concept of the successful previous site, however, being easily updated and with more features to keep up with the bands growing fan base. The site will include recent new imagery based around their new album The Midnight Organ Fight.

A video also shot by bonnyday whilst visiting the band on their American tour was recently shown on big screens behind the band at the Big Chill festival 2008 (above).
